More Detail and History

Trase Miller Technologies is privately held by Oak Brook, Illinois based JFM Enterprises, whose founder and owner is Jim Miller.  Jim Miller's original operating business, MTI Vacations (MTI), was one of the largest, independent, domestic tour operators from 1972 through 1998; handling several million package vacation clients throughout its history.  MTI's expertise in the wholesale distribution of vacation packages, travel technology, and contact center management formed the basis for its diversification into travel technology consulting and outsourcing solutions for the travel and hospitality industry.  As one of the first providers of private-label services to the travel industry, MTI Vacations, and its Trase Miller "Group" of companies, managed high-profile brand offerings for Amtrak, Hyatt Hotels, Sheraton, and Preview Travel.

Trase Miller Solutions; MTI's technology consulting entity of approximately one hundred designers, developers, and consultants, delivered unique GDS interfaces for well-established cruise lines such as Royal Caribbean and others, an Air/Rail booking platform linking United Airlines and Amtrak inventory components, and designed and built the first internet-based airline ticketing system for Preview Travel, the precursor to Travelocity.

MTI Vacations and Trase Miller Solutions were acquired in 1998 and 1999, respectively.  Trase Miller Teleservices; MTI's event reservations & ticketing operation, pioneered event ticketing outsourcing solutions in the early explosive growth period for the Midwest casino boat industry.  The TMTS ticketing system powered admission and reservations services for over twenty casino boat operators, processing millions of admission tickets. Other teleservices/ticketing clients included the Art Institute of Chicago and Discovery Zone.  Trase Miller Teleservices was divested in 2000.

Jim Miller's interests expanded with his investment and funding of other successful ventures unrelated to travel and call center outsourcing including the only other present day operating business owned by JFM Enterprises; Pratt & Miller Engineering and Fabrication (Founded in 1989)
